OurLegacy invites you to join and form friendships with other donor families by joining events and programs designed with you in mind.

Remembrance Day

Each November, OurLegacy brings donor families together for Remembrance Day—an opportunity to share memories of loved ones and acknowledge the difference they made to others. Conversations and friendships blossom among families whose shared experience with sudden loss and donation form bonds of sympathy and understanding. Guests are encouraged to bring special remembrances to display in honor of their loved ones. Invitations are extended to families whose donations occurred between six and sixteen months prior to Remembrance Day.

Donor Family Circle

Donor families share a common bond forged by loss, generosity and hope. The Donor Family Circle is a group of caring families that support OurLegacy’s Family Care program by helping to plan events, welcome new donor families, and educate the community about organ and tissue donation.

Volunteering

Some donor families find comfort in becoming champions for organ and tissue donation in the community. Our Donate Life Ambassadors engage in public speaking, staff booths at festivals, and contribute to our vital relationships with hospitals. Donor Family Quilts

The quilts serve as both a tribute to donors and an inspiring example of how organ and tissue donors are remembered. The quilts are uniquely handcrafted and lovingly made by donor families. Quilts are displayed annually at Remembrance Day, Honor Your Loved One Day, on our website and at special events throughout Central Florida.
